I Missed You

Texting
His fingers at her sides gently squeezed, just holding her as she leaned over him to brush a kiss by his lips. While his body slowly began to wake up in a different way, his heart beat loudly in his chest, the same burst of emotions Anzu gave him flooding his partially-sleepy senses; he quietly hoped that they would always wake up together for many more mornings after this one. “Some more practice wouldn’t hurt.” His fingers squeezed around her again and tried to hold her closer, the morning sunlight peeking into the room through the curtains.
The smile across his face widened while he spoke and spotted the new flush of pink on her cheeks, a chuckle sounding from his throat. Normally, he was never good with complimenting others (well, complimenting them in a non-horribly sarcastic way), and even still he wasn’t all that great at it. But with Anzu, it was getting easier, now that he could somewhat understand all these emotions she made him feel. And he liked to see her happy. “There’s no other judge I’d want but you.” Her fingers dove into his spiked hair, and he grunted when her lips suddenly pressed against his with want.
